Visited and enjoyed hospitality at your lovely bar Oct 2008.Am so dissapointed a british tour operator has not taken some of the accomadation on board.The cost of flights transfers and accomadation is beyond our budget this year but once things are sorted we will be back. Good Luck with summer 2009 hope to see you summer 2010.

I spent the summer of '94 working in Makriyalos and had one of the best summers of my life! I worked in what was once called The Riveria Bar, which judging by the pictures is now the Gecko Bar...

I wish you every good luck with the bar...Makriyalos is a special place and will always hold a special place in my heart!

By the way if Tim (originally from Cork in Ireland) is still living there, last time I heard he was, tell Helena said hello! It was a long time ago but he might just remember!

IT WAS GOOD IDEA TO PUT METEO STATION ON THE ROOF OF YOUR GECKO BAR. ONLY THANKS IT WE COULD KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WEATHER IN MAKRIGIALOS BEFORE AND AFTER OUR HOLIDAY THERE, TOO.
WE WOULD BE VERY GLAD IF YOU CAN CONTINUE WITH IT. HAVE A NICE "WINTER".

Had to come back and write you a little greeting..
As i am sure you know we had snow a couple of weeks on and off now, but we alle still remember the hot beach and lovely makrigialos bar Gecko.

Many thanx for the obvious highlight you are..
and were in our holiday in august. 2,3 week.

We shall return and yet another day enjoy great longdrinks and greek coffe..

Stay great for future generations of norwegians coming to visit you..

It seems ages since we were there (May 2008)but we had a fabulous time. All the folk at the Gecko Bar are very generous and the hospitality we received was first rate.
Found the website before we travelled and even though I'm a seasoned traveller, as far as Makrigialos is concerned, there was a mass of information which was really useful. Love the gallery and especially the weather station. Great to see you've had some rain at last!
Keep up the good work and hope to see you again next year.
